The Key to Growing Your Business and Improving Your Relationships
There are three key factors that we’ve found are paramount for enhancing your relationships in life, be they personal or business relationships. By default, your relationships will lead to business growth in any capacity in any industry, and the more you focus on enhancing them, the better your life will be.
Here are three tips that will help you foster those relationships:
Communication. If you look at any happily married couple, they’ll usually tell you that communication is key to making the relationship last. The two parties make an active effort to understand each other. Don’t gloss over someone’s experience and assume that they do or do not know something or that they see the world the same way you do. If we can overcome our barriers with communication, we can understand what the other party feels, thinks, and needs so you can better service them.
Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone, especially in difficult situations. Many times, you can figure out a solution really quickly if you just open a direct line of communication with the person who’s having the issue
Add value. Being able to provide additional value to the other party is key in both business and in life. By giving your clients exemplary service and offering them things they need, they’ll be more likely to come back to your for future help and in turn, they’ll tell more people about your services.
For example, we only work through referrals. That’s a rarity in this space, but that’s because we pride ourselves on providing so much tangible value on the back and front ends. The more you do this, the more you can continue to master your craft and provide further superior services. The trick, however, is to be consistent, because like a muscle, the benefits will atrophy if you don’t continue to provide value.
Take whatever you’re doing personally. Assume full ownership of your activities and relationships and take them very seriously. If you’re going to do something, why not do it to its fullest potential? When I’m representing another party, I’m doing it for their sake, and I always go the extra mile to make sure they’re satisfied. In the end, it’ll mean more to you and your clients.
If you have any questions about habits that help to grow and enhance your business, reach out to us. We’d be happy to meet with you and to discuss any of your needs.
